Cairde Le Cheile is all about building a welcoming community in County Donegal where everyone belongs! We create opportunities for people with disabilities, vulnerable young people, and senior citizens through sports, social events, education, and job programs. We also have two lovely cafes: St Conals Campus – the Fern Cafe (open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 2:30 pm) and the Vestry Cafe (open Monday to Friday, 9.30 am to 4:30 pm). Plus, we offer meeting rooms in the Old St Conal’s Church for all community groups. Our accessible facilities include a changing area, public restrooms, a sensory room and sensory garden open Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm and Saturdays from 12 noon to 4:30 pm. Our building is fully wheelchair accessible, with lifts and ramps throughout.
Who We Are
Rooted in the Special Olympics movement since 2003, Cairde Le Cheile has grown into a cornerstone of support in Donegal for people with disabilities, vulnerable young people, and senior citizens. Located at St. Conal’s Hospital Campus, right by Letterkenny Town Park, our center is a lively community space where friendships flourish, skills are honed, and new opportunities are always on the horizon.
